Yes, a website can still be useful when Instagram and WhatsApp already bring you customers. It gives you a stable place to explain your offer, show your work and answer questions before a conversation begins. Whether you need one now depends on what is missing from your current sales journey.
Give each channel a clear job
Social posts can introduce your work. WhatsApp can support conversation. Your website can hold the information that is difficult to find in an old post or a long chat: services, examples, location, delivery terms and ways to enquire.
You do not have to force every customer through an online checkout. An enquiry-led website can be appropriate for custom services or products whose availability needs confirming. Make that next step explicit so visitors know what happens after they click.
Look for repeated friction
Count the questions you answer repeatedly. Do customers keep asking what you offer, where you operate, whether you have completed similar work, or what information you need to quote? Those questions can become useful website sections.
For example, a furniture maker could show a small project gallery, explain materials and lead times, and invite customers to send measurements. Instagram still introduces the designs, while the website prepares a more useful enquiry.
Start with the smallest useful site
A clear homepage, a focused service or product page, evidence of work and a reliable contact route may be enough for the first release. Add features when they solve an observed problem. Avoid building an elaborate store just because a competitor has one.
My website design work focuses on explaining the offer and supporting the next customer action. Browse my portfolio or tell me about your current sales process. A website should make your existing channels more useful. It needs a clear purpose, an owner and current information, not merely a domain printed on your business card.
