Why does my website get visitors but no enquiries?

Traffic without enquiries does not automatically mean the design is bad. You may be attracting the wrong audience, leaving important questions unanswered or making the next step difficult. Diagnose the journey before rebuilding everything or buying more traffic.

Check the quality of the visit

Look at which pages bring people in and what they expected to find. A visitor researching a definition is not necessarily ready to hire a developer. Separate useful educational traffic from people actively comparing services, and give each an appropriate next step.

Make the offer specific. A headline about “digital transformation” may leave readers unsure whether you build websites, repair WordPress installations or run advertising campaigns. State the service in language a customer would use.

Test the next action yourself

Submit the form, check the receiving mailbox and try the telephone and WhatsApp links on a phone. Review labels, required fields and error states. A visible success message alone does not establish that an email arrived.

Then check the information around the button. Can a visitor see who delivers the work, examples of relevant projects and what happens after an enquiry? You do not have to publish a fixed price for every custom project, but explain how the scope is established.

Change one clear weakness at a time

For a service page, replace a vague call to action with a specific enquiry route. Add a useful project example. Remove unnecessary form fields. Compare enquiries over a meaningful period, while noting any change in traffic source or advertising activity.

My website design service and SEO support can address different parts of this journey. Browse selected work or describe the problem. For the form itself, read Why does my contact form say sent when no email arrives?. For page structure, see Which pages does a small business website actually need?.

The useful measure is not whether a page looks busier after an edit. It is whether suitable customers can understand your offer and successfully reach you.
